Nokia Lumia 1020 41-MP smartphone snapped
Industry-leading camera breaks free from Symbian.
Sourced by @evleaks, whose contact book seems to contain every venal network employee in the world, the photo depicts what we're assured is the Nokia Lumia 1020. Or the phone you might know by the 'Lumia EOS' codename that was previously attached to it.
Assuming the kit in the photo is the real thing, and it’s worth noting that not all @evleaks are 100 per cent legit, it doesn’t look like much of a departure from earlier Nokia Windows Phones in the design department.
But it’s probably to be supposed this won’t bother would-be buyers who are presumably attracted by the weapons-grade PureView camera.
Until now, said snapper was solely available on the Nokia 808 handset, which was crippled by the superannuated, creaking Symbian software that powered it.
Nokia is expected to unveil the Lumia 1020 at a huge presser in New York on July 11th.
