First Firefox phone on sale tomorrow

ZTE Open The ZTE Open, the first phone to run Mozilla’s Firefox OS, is set to go on sale tomorrow. The news was announced on Twitter by Spanish carrier Telefonica earlier this morning.
While the handset itself isn’t exactly chock full of bleeding edge tech, the real excitement is centred around the price. The device is set to come in at €69 (£59) SIM-free in Spain.
As if that wasn’t enough to tempt cash-strapped Spaniards to pony up, ZTE is also throwing in €30 (£25) of credit for pay-as-you-go punters.

So while the phone may not be the best, there’s no denying that there’s value for money to be had.
The ZTE Open was first shown off at this year’s Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona.
It doesn’t have the Google services so many mobile users have come to know and love, with just a 3-megapixel camera and relatively puny 3.5-inch display.
