Exclusive: Moto G 4G (2015) is coming soon

Motorola has confirmed plans for a 4G version of the second-generation Moto G, in keeping with its marketing model for last year's model.
The original first-gen Moto G was available in 3G and 4G options. The 4G edition also improved on the 3G version by offering expandable storage by microSD.

"It’s a really good question; I can’t comment on those specifically.
"What you see in the new E though, for example, is that we are bringing some of the higher end features [from the Moto X] into that category as well."
Those are the removable trims around the device, which are available in the Moto Maker as options.
Although we might not see all the features of that tool in the E or G, perhaps some might make it over to cheaper phones somewhere down the line.
